Quinnipiac University invites applications for the position of Associate Director of Alumni Relations. This key role will create and manage a successful relationship-based fund raising program through the execution of events and communications and to increase alumni involvement and philanthropy.

-Build a strong and active Alumni Association by planning, implementing and marketing an effective alumni program, both on campus and regionally;
-Conduct 15-20 personal face to face visits monthly to engage, qualify, solicit and steward;
-Increase young alumni philanthropy by leading the identification and solicitation of annual President Council gifts from Bobcats of the Last Decade and increase the membership Young Alumni Development Council;
-Manages a portfolio of approximately 150 Alumni prospects;
-Expand and strengthen Quinnipiac’s Alumni Reunion program by recruiting and managing the activities of the 5-year and 10-year Reunion Committees;
-Cultivate relationships with alumni and market alumni programs and events by utilizing Web 2.0 resources (e.g. Facebook, Twitter), the University’s alumni website and the alumni online community’s email marketing tool;
-Develop and execute prospect management plans, and solicitation strategies; draft proposals, and engage in ongoing cultivation of and correspondence with potential Alumni donors to Quinnipiac University with the ability to make $500 to $5,000 gifts;
-Supervising the activities of the Student Alumni Association
A minimum of 2-3 years' experience in fund-raising and a Bachelor degree is required;
Knowledge and experience gaining philanthropic support and financial commitments from others;
Demonstrated effectiveness in recruiting, managing and motivating volunteers;
Experience planning and implementing special events;
Skill in project and fiscal management;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required;
Must be willing to travel locally and nationally as necessary.
