The successful candidate will be a dynamic, forward-thinking leader and administrator, with an exceptional work ethic and solid experience in fundraising, financial management, programming, managing, marketing, education, facility operations, ticketing, mentoring, and community and campus relations. The candidate will be responsible, with guidance from the Vice President for Institutional Advancement, to set and implement the strategic vision and aggressive goals of the organization; have clear passion and commitment to the arts; capable of harnessing tremendous energy to move the organization forward by managing its present and envisioning its future; and perform other related duties as assigned.
A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Theater Management, Arts Administration or a related field and a minimum of three (3) years of management experience is required. A minimum of five (5) years of practical experience in theater management is also required. Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, staff, and stakeholders to foster a professional, high-functioning, team-oriented culture; Must be willing to support the team in accomplishing targeted bottom-line oriented results; Values, integrity, honesty, high professional standards and the ability to cultivate, solicit, and secure the financial support of major donors is critical to success in this role.
The salary range for this position is $56,318 - $73,627 per fiscal year depending on experience and qualification. Benefits include a generous TIAA-CREF or the VI Government Retirement Plan, as well as a comprehensive group medical, dental and life insurance program.
Travel & Shipping:
If applicable, one-way economy airfare to St. Thomas for appointee and immediate family and an agreed upon amount based on policy for shipping allowance will be paid by the University upon presentation of receipts.
