The Department of Marketing & Law in the College of Business and Public Management at the University of La Verne seeks a candidate to fill a tenure-track position in marketing to begin in Fall 2014. The Department seeks an individual who strives to be an outstanding teacher and scholar. The new faculty member is expected to demonstrate the ability to publish in high quality peer-reviewed journals, to teach in a small-size environment, and to provide service to the university and community.

Department of Marketing & Law
The Department of Marketing and Law functions within the College of Business & Public Management. The Department places an emphasis on student-centered quality instruction and scholarly activities of the faculty. The Department provides a wide range of learning opportunities for students who wish to become involved in the business community. Student organizations and programs include an American Marketing Association Chapter, an Edventure Partnership, an Enactus Chapter, an Integrated Business Program, and an internship program.
The workload is split into 60/30/10 with teaching representing 60% of the workload, research and scholarly activities 30%, and community service and community engagement 10%. Faculty is expected to teach six courses per year at the graduate and/or undergraduate level.
1. Ph.D. in Marketing or closely related field from an institution accredited by AACSB. Doctoral candidates with an expected completion date of July 2014 are encouraged to apply.
2. Candidates should have expertise in marketing research, digital marketing; other areas will also be considered.
3. Candidates should have a strong commitment to teaching excellence. Experience working with a diverse student body is desirable.
4. Candidates should have a well-defined research agenda and potential to publish in quality peer-review journals within the area of expertise.
5. Any relevant practical industry experience is a plus.
