Saint Louis University, a Catholic, Jesuit institution dedicated to student learning, research, health care, and service, is pleased to announce a full-time, one-year post-doctoral fellowship in the Paul C. Reinert, S.J. Center for Transformative Teaching and Learning. (This fellowship may be extended for a second year.) The Reinert Center is a comprehensive teaching center, providing pedagogical development for full- and part-time faculty and graduate instructors across the University. We seek applicants, who are passionate about university-level teaching, who have an interest in graduate and/or faculty pedagogical development, and who come from a range of disciplines, particularly the social and natural sciences.

The post-doctoral fellow will receive mentorship and experience in the field of faculty/graduate development, while working with a collaborative team to deliver programs that enhance the development of faculty and graduate students in pedagogical skills and knowledge, especially in the context of a Jesuit education. Fellowship opportunities may include but are not limited to:

- Consulting with graduate students instructors and faculty to analyze and enhance instructional practices using innovative, evidence-based teaching strategies, assessment methods, classroom management, and technology integration
- Conducting class observations and student focus groups to support teaching Enhancement
- Facilitating workshops, conversations on teaching, and online seminars
- Collaborating with Reinert Center staff in the development of new graduate student programs and services in support of the Center's mission
- Researching and creating resources on evidence-based teaching, assessment, instructional design methods, and emerging technologies to enhance learning in a variety of educational environments. - Teaching one course per year in the home academic discipline also may be available

The ideal candidate has at least two (2) years of experience teaching at the university level and is familiar with the literature on teaching and learning, outcomes assessment, and/or emerging learning technologies. Experience working with graduate students and/or faculty to develop pedagogical practices is preferred but not required. Candidates must have their doctoral degree in hand at the time of appointment. This position includes a competitive salary for 12-month contract plus health care benefits.
