This Visiting Professor position will lead into an Assistant Professor position after the first year.
Minimum qualifications include an earned Ph.D. or A.B.D. in Athletic Training or related field. The applicants will need to demonstrate the potential for excellence in teaching, research, administration and service. Prior teaching experience, supervision, and public sector/community service experience are pluses. The successful candidate must hold a acurrent national certification and be in good standing with the Board of Certification (BOC), have experience as a BOC-certified athletic trainer, and possess current athletic training credentials.
The candidate will be expected to display teaching expertise in several areas of Exercise and Sports Science. Other required responsibilities include advising undergraduate Exercise and Sports Science majors. The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate Exercise and Sports Science courses and other science courses (Anatomy and Physiology I and II) as needed. In addition, the successful candidate will contribute to the core curriculum of the General Education program by teaching non-majors science courses as needed.
