The Department of Healthcare Administration at Stonehill College invites applicants for an assistant professor, tenure-track appointment in Healthcare Administration to begin in July 2014. This person would join a department of three full-time faculty, eighty-five majors, and about fifty minors. The Department seeks applicants who are committed to excellence in teaching, advising, and mentoring.
Examples of courses that the Department hopes to cover are: quality improvement, healthcare finance, operations management and analytics, strategic planning, or health information management systems. At this time, the College does not have any online or distance learning; all instruction is on the Easton campus.
The person appointed will be expected to pursue a scholarly agenda with publications; to participate actively in her or his professional society, and to be current in the broader fields of healthcare administration.
A doctorate or appropriate terminal degree in healthcare administration or a related field is required. The degree must be completed by the time of appointment. Work experience in healthcare administration is also desired.
