Saint Louis University School of Medicine, a Catholic Jesuit institution dedicated to education, research, service and healthcare, has initiated a national search for Chair, Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology & Women's Health. The successful applicant will be a distinguished academic physician willing to provide strategic leadership in programmatic, education and research development. The Chair will be responsible for research development and growth, balancing clinical activities, overseeing quality initiative and developing services. The department has a 35-member faculty, including generalists and sub-specialists, who are trained to provide comprehensive care encompassing a woman's total reproductive health at all stages of her life, including early infant care. The Department has 74,000 outpatient visits, and 2,100 inpatient deliveries annually. It maintains a fully accredited residency and a Maternal and Fetal Medicine residency with a complement of 25 residents and 3 fellows. Board certification in Obstetrics, Gynecology & Women's Health and eligibility for medical licensure in Missouri are required.
