In 2012, AACC opened the Center for Cyber and Professional Training, and in 2011 was named lead partner of a 10-college consortium that received a $19.7 million Department of Labor training grant for high-demand jobs in science, technology, engineering and math fields.
Faculty members are expected to serve on departmental and college committees, advise students, pursue professional development and participate in community and business partnerships, research and grants. They should also be prepared to use technology and learning outcomes assessment to enhance classroom teaching and show commitment to innovation, teaching excellence, and a teaching/learning focus. College teaching experience is preferred.
