FULL-TIME FACULTY POSITION/ PROGRAM COORDINATOR: PARAMEDIC TECHNOLOGY: (Division of Health Professions Lawrence Campus) (MCCC/MTA Unit Position) Start Date: July 1, 2014

Teach classroom and laboratory courses in Paramedic Technology; organize, administer, and evaluate comprehensive program effectiveness; conduct on-going program review and assessment; participate in developing and monitoring the program budget. Responsible for compliance with, and achievement of, accreditation; participate in curriculum development, implementation, assessment and revision using defined program outcomes.  Maintain office hours and advise students.  Participate in college service activities.

Bachelor’s degree or higher, with a certificate in Paramedic Technology required.  Current certification to practice out-of-hospital care in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts at the EMT-P level required.  Current NREMT-P and I/C credentials required. At least three years’ full-time experience as an EMT-P required, with current competency in clinical practice.  Demonstrate currency in professional discipline through continuing education, professional development, and/ or scholarly activity.  Two years’ experience as an instructor in an Office of Emergency Medical Services (OEMS) approved EMT-P program required, preferably in a community college setting. Demonstrated ability to teach within, and contribute positively to a diverse, multi-ethnic, multi-cultural student population and campus environment required.  Knowledge of curriculum development, implementation and assessment; including evidence of competence in employing instructional methods and techniques appropriate to different student learning style required. Demonstrated ability to work collegially as a leader and as a team member required.

Salary: $42,921.00 - $65,000.00, per academic year; complete fringe benefit package. Actual salary will be determined in accordance with classification determination of MCCC/MTA salary schedule commensurate with education and experience
