The Department of Engineering in the Quinnipiac University School of Business and Engineering seeks a tenure-track faculty position in Software Engineering starting in August 2014.  Tenure track faculty are expected to excel at teaching, scholarship, and service to students and the university community.

The Department of Engineering is in its second year at Quinnipiac University with the goal of becoming ABET accredited upon graduation of this first class in 2016. The Department of Engineering is a foundational step in a path that anticipates becoming the School of Engineering in the near future. Specific job responsibilities will include developing and teaching courses supporting the missions of the department and university, as well as guiding, advising, and mentoring students.  Tenure track faculty will maintain an active professional scholarship agenda that leads to externally refereed contributions.  Service to the department, school, and university communities is also required. All areas of specialization will be considered.

Qualifications & Special Instructions to Applicants

Minimum qualifications for candidates include:

-a PhD in Software Engineering or Computer Science with specialization in Software Engineering;

-evidence of teaching effectiveness;

-evidence of an ability to accomplish scholarship in areas related to the department’s mission.

Candidates that will have an earned PhD by the start date of the position will be considered.  Relevant industrial experience is beneficial.

  3. a scholarship statement;
  4. a current CV, including details of teaching experience and research achievements;
