Saint Louis University, a Catholic, Jesuit institution dedicated to student learning, research, health care, and service, is seeking applicants for a post-doctoral fellow in the Edward A. Doisy Department of Biochemistry and Molecular. A post-doctoral position is available in March 2014 in the laboratory of Dr. Frances Yap. Successful candidates are expected to have a Ph.D. degree in biochemistry, microbiology or a related science field. The laboratory of Dr. Yap focuses on regulation of ribosome activity and antibiotic resistance in Staphylococcus aureus. Previous experience with bacterial genetics, protein purification and RNA biology are preferred. Applicants should also be highly self-motivated and have a track record of creativity and productivity. NIH standards will be used in setting the pay scale.
