FULL-TIME RESEARCH ASSOCIATE: ACADEMIC AND INSTITUTIONAL EFFECTIVENESS (Office of Academic and Institutional Effectiveness): 37.5 hours per week (Non-unit Professional position) (Anticipated Start Date: January 20, 2014) (Partially grant funded)
Under the general supervision of the Associate Dean of Academic and Institutional Effectiveness, assist with and support the professional activities of the Office, including work related to a Title V grant.
Assist with the varied initiatives of the Office, including related to program review, outcomes assessment, Core Academic skills, and the Title V grant. Duties include assisting with the collection, organization, entry, analyses, and interpretation of quantitative and qualitative data from various instruments and data recording tools, including tracking databases, rubrics and surveys. Prepare materials and assist with the design and implementation of procedures and the collection of student products for institutional-level assessment. Provide assistance to NECC’s program review and program-level outcomes assessment efforts, including assisting with the identification of appropriate assessment methods. Assist with the design and implementation of various college programs’ evaluation projects. Provide assistance in designing and distributing surveys, including online. Obtain information through library and internet research. Analyze and prepare appropriate tables and charts to display quantitative information. Prepare reports. Create and manage Excel tracking data files. Assist in the development and maintenance of a website dedicated to Academic and Institutional Effectiveness.
Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s degree preferred, with a social sciences major including courses in research design and statistics. Must have demonstrated skill and experience in quantitative and qualitative research, report writing, and with Word and Excel. Must be highly organized, detail oriented, accurate, and have experience in creating and managing systems for collecting, tracking, organizing, and maintaining data and materials. Ability to work with faculty, staff, and administrators from a variety of disciplines and program areas required.
Salary: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 annually with a full fringe benefit package. Actual salary will be commensurate with education and experience.
