Serve as the primary public relations person for all intercollegiate sports and Athletics Department and develop and maintain positive and community relations. Maintain Athletics Department web page with updated and accurate information. Oversight of all multimedia efforts. Responsible for compiling, maintaining, archiving and reporting all statistical data and reports for all sport programs. Develop and produce Athletics Department publications. Develop and oversee a promotion/marketing plan for all intercollegiate programs and assist with Department promotions/ marketing. Schedule, coordinate, train and supervise statistical and score table staff for all home events.

Develop, create and produce game programs, electronic media guides, brochures and other promotional publications for all intercollegiate sport programs and Department of Athletics.
Assist in planning and production of special events. (e.g. Hall of Fame; Student Athlete Appreciation Day; Scholar Athlete Luncheon; Senior Blanket Night and etc….)
Maintain Athletics Department web page with updated and accurate information. Communicate and work closely with the Head Coaches or designee of each sport program regarding their individual sport program’s web site and kept current.
Write and produce special features for media releases; create and distribute bi-monthly Leo Letter and seasonal Athletics Department newsletter to La Verne community, alumni, current students and their families and friends of the program.
Coordinate photography and video for intercollegiate athletic contests and special events; Department staff members and student-athletes. To include: Team and individual roster pictures/video to post on web, electronic media guides; assist in production of highlight videos as needed and requested (e.g. Senior Blanket Award Night; Home page Athletics) Maintain and record photo and video archives.
Implement and maintain Department social media sites (i.e., Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, etc.) In addition, monitor and track public social media sites to protect the integrity of the department and University
Responsible for coordination of Web/video streaming of home athletic various contests
Develop and oversee a marketing/promotion plan for all intercollegiate sport programs and assist with promoting and marketing of the Department of Athletics.
Prepare and submit nominations for conference, regional and national awards on behalf of the Department of Athletics and student athletes.
Responsible for compiling, maintaining, reporting all statistical data and reports for all intercollegiate sport programs. File end of the season statistical information to professional agencies.
Supervision/Managing of PT Coordinator of Intercollegiate Statistical Information
Schedule, coordinate, train and supervise statistical and score table staff for all home events. Post and monitor work schedules of statistical and score table staff on Department of Athletics web site and kept updated.
Interact and communicate with all other University constituencies.
Assist Athletics Department with fundraising endeavors.
Perform other duties, summer duties, special projects and other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics.
Secondary report to Vice President of Strategic Enrollment & Communications
A bachelor’s degree preferably in Journalism, Public Relations, Communications or Sports Management. Candidate should have relevant experience preferably in a college Sports Information Office/Athletics Communications Office; commitment to and knowledge of NCAA rules, regulations, and standards in regards to statistical gathering; familiarity with StatCrew Software, publishing software, photography and video editing; maintain and monitor social media sites. Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Master’s degree is preferred in related field.
