The candidate for this tenure – track position will be responsible for teaching courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels, developing courses and laboratories, developing funded research, and publishing scholarly work. The successful candidate must have knowledge in dynamic systems and control, kinematics design and analysis, and automatic controls.
Prairie View A&M University, a member of the Texas A&M University System, is a public land grant university located 45 miles northwest of Houston, Texas, the nation’s fourth largest city. It has an enrollment of more than 8,000 students and offers bachelor, master, and doctoral degrees in a variety of disciplines. The University’s target service area for undergraduate, graduate and outreach programs includes: the Texas Gulf Coast Region; the rapidly growing residential and commercial area known as the Northwest Houston Corridor; and urban Texas centers.
QUALIFICATIONS: Interested applicants must have: (1) a Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering; or (2) completed all Ph.D. degree requirements in Mechanical Engineering by the employment date. In addition, the successful candidate must have demonstrated excellent knowledge through education, research or industrial experience in the areas of dynamic systems and control, kinematics design and analysis, and automatic control.
