Assistant Professor of Commercial Piano
POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Department of Music and Commercial Music Program at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) seeks a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Commercial Piano. Responsibilities will include a combination of course instruction at the undergraduate and graduate levels (including, but not limited to commercial piano, class piano, improvisation, arranging, and commercial pedagogy), individual instruction (commercial piano) and performance (faculty commercial piano performances). Additional responsibilities include advising and student mentoring, maintaining an active national and/or international research/performance agenda, and engaging in activities that serve the department, university, and profession.
QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s in Piano with significant commercial experience required, Doctorate in Music preferred.
