The Department of Physical Therapy at Quinnipiac University School of Health Sciences invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position starting in August 2014. Tenure track faculty are expected to excel at teaching, research, and service to students and the university community.

The program in physical therapy prepares students to become competent and compassionate entry-level physical therapists, who are able to practice in a variety of settings serving diverse populations across the lifespan.The School of Health Sciences offers a wide variety of undergraduate and graduate degree programs.
The successful candidate will develop and teach courses in exercise science/cardiopulmonary PT within existing DPT program (please see our departmental website for more information about the program). Other responsibilities include guiding, advising, and mentoring students as well as committee and other forms of service to the university community. Continued development of a research agenda and published scholarly work is also expected.
Minimum requirements for this position include:
- a PhD in desired field,
- at least five years of clinical experience, and
- eligibility to practice physical therapy in the State of Connecticut.
In addition, a candidate must demonstrate strong evidence of a successful scholarly record in rehabilitation sciences and potential to build a highly visible research program via publications in nationally or internationally recognized journals.
