Primary responsibilities include overall coordination and maintenance to enhance outreach activities for a range of population and community based child health services research and policy projects; support of the mission, goals and objectives of the CAHMI, Department of Pediatrics, School of Medicine and OHSU; assisting senior staff with outreach and marketing CAHMI tools and resources to a broad range of audiences to include state and local health officials, family leaders, health researchers, child health advocates using a wide variety of media and CAHMI and Data Resource Center website coordination; planning and updating outreach and marketing needs; developing strategic communications about data findings from the CAHMI developed tools and data sources specific to targeted audiences such as policymakers, health care providers and consumer advocacy groups; participating in offering technical assistance to research partners and users of CAHMI websites and tools; and providing other research assistance as needed.
Requirements include a Bachelor's degree with major courses in field of research; a minimum of 3 years of experience working in health care services research, public health or policy organization with independent responsibility for tracking and troubleshooting the timely completion of key aspects of work related to data driven research projects; experience using the web to display, interpret and disseminate data and/or project based materials; highly proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio); good working knowledge of SPSS statistical software; excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; experience designing and managing websites; experience with outreach and marketing and working with a wide variety of diverse individuals; and experience with interpreting and presenting data. Preferred qualifications include a Masters degree; a minimum of 5 years of experience working in health care services research; Access database skills and experience; experience with univariate, bi-variate and multi-variate data analysis; and experience conducting formal literature reviews.
