Saint Louis University, a Jesuit Catholic institution dedicated to education, research, healthcare and service, seeks applicants for a non-tenure track position at the rank of Assistant professor in Theological Studies within the Department of Theological Studies, beginning Janury 2014. The appointment will last for one year. The area of specialization is open but the successful candidate will be able to teach in most areas of theological studies at the undergraduate level. S/He will also be assigned 1-2 sections of the department's Theological Foundations, for a total of a 3-3 teaching load. In addition, the successful candidate will design least one undergraduate course as an online offering in the Spring 2014 semester and then teach online in the Fall 2014 semester. Accordingly, s/he will have experience with online course development and teaching in theological studies in a higher education setting. Candidates, regardless of their own faith tradition, must be supportive of the Catholic and Jesuit ideals of the university. The successful candidate will hold a PhD in Theological Studies and have at least one year of teaching experience in a higher education setting.
