The appointment is at the level of Assistant/Associate Professor within the Division of Hematology- Oncology at Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital. Candidates must be board certified/eligible in Pediatric Hematology-Oncology. Responsibilities will include teaching, clinical care and research. Individuals with an interest in benign hematology and hemoglobinopathies are particularly encouraged to apply.
The Division of Pediatric Hematology-Oncology, located at Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital, is a regional, comprehensive program dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of childhood cancer and blood disorders and is active within the Children's Oncology Group. The Stem Cell Transplant program is a FACT-accredited regional referral center offering comprehensive pediatric transplant care, with a strong clinical research effort and extensive collaboration with the St. Louis Cord Blood Bank. There are additional opportunities for research collaboration with the Pediatric Research Institute and also with the Saint Louis University Cancer Center.
Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital is a 190-bed free standing hospital located in midtown Saint Louis, adjacent to Saint Louis University. The Hospital serves a diverse population from the inner city, the metropolitan area, and a 200-mile referral radius. The medical staff includes over 90 full-time Saint Louis University School of Medicine faculty.
