Detailed Job Description

The Department of Management at Quinnipiac University School of Business and Engineering invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position starting in August  2014.  Tenure track faculty are expected to excel at teaching, research, and service to students and the university community. 

Quinnipiac University is a private, coeducational university with 6,200 undergraduate and 2,300 graduate students.  The School of Business is AACSB accredited.

Quinnipiac’s three campuses are located in Hamden and North Haven CT.


Specific job requirements include developing and teaching both on-site and on-line courses in Operations Management/Project Management/Supply Chain Management as well as contributions to specific University and School wide courses. Faculty are expected to have an active role in guiding, advising, and mentoring students.

The ideal candidate will be able to support the Management department in growing graduate programs.

Tenure track faculty will maintain an active research agenda that will lead to publications in nationally or internationally recognized journals.   A demonstrated ability to publish in this discipline is required.   Service to the University community is required.

Qualifications & Special Instructions to Applicants

Minimum qualifications for candidates include:  a PhD in Operations Management or related field; evidence of teaching effectiveness; evidence of the ability to publish in the aforementioned areas.  ABDs with teaching experience and a well-developed research agenda may be considered.
