Wheaton College, IL – Department of Philosophy invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor rank. AOS: Medieval Philosophy. AOC: Open Preference will be given to persons with competence in ancient and/or modern philosophy. Applicants must complete their Ph.D. before the fall of 2012.

Philosophy is a very popular major at Wheaton College, with nearly 100 majors in the program in a given year. Additionally, Wheaton has 2,400 undergraduate students, all of whom must take at least one philosophy course. Wheaton seeks teacher/scholars dedicated to excellent instruction and mentoring of students, and to a career of active scholarship. Applicants must submit a letter of interest, curriculum vitae, and should arrange to send a complete dossier including transcript, writing samples, evidence of teaching ability (such as syllabi and student evaluations), and at least three letters of recommendation.
