The University of La Verne is a Carnegie Doctoral/Research University in Southern California, enrolling over 8,000 students in four colleges: the College of Arts and Sciences, the College of Business and Public Management, the College of Education and Organizational Leadership, and the College of Law. Regional and Online Campuses
In addition to educational programs on its beautiful campus in La Verne, students can earn degrees through innovative programs offered through ROC. This includes (1) nine regional campuses, (2) the Campus Accelerated Program for Adults (CAPA) an adult undergraduate program at the La Verne campus, and (3) La Verne Online.
Regional campuses have been established at strategic locations throughout Southern and Central California that provide convenient access for our adult student population. Two campuses are on military bases. In addition there are dozens of community college and corporate partners where on-site programs are offered. The majority of the degree and credential programs offered at the regional campuses are in the fields of business and education.
La Verne’s Campus Accelerated Program for Adults (CAPA) is designed for adult learners who require flexible evening and weekend scheduling. From Business Administration to Psychology, numerous majors are conveniently offered for the busy professional.
An increasing array of business degrees are offered through La Verne Online. Online offerings provide a convenient, challenging and contemporary learning environment at a university with an extensive history of providing quality adult and professional education.

The University of La Verne seeks an inspiring and creative administrator to lead the diverse and dynamic Regional and Online Campuses (ROC). The Dean is the chief administrative and financial officer and reports to the Provost. The Dean provides leadership and support for the nine Regional Campuses, La Verne Online, and Campus Accelerated Program for Adults (CAPA), including budget development and management, student support services, compliance, facility and technology management, and delivery of quality instruction and related services for students enrolled in adult undergraduate and graduate programs within ROC. Working closely with the Provost, the Academic Deans and Enrollment Management, the Dean will support student recruitment and retention, enrollment management, marketing communications, publications, and institutional image as they relate to Regional and Online programs. Reporting to the Dean are 76 staff members: 2 Assistant Deans, 9 Campus Directors, 33 Administrative Professional Staff, 24 classified staff, 7 Regional Administrators and 1 Student Worker.
Working closely with the Provost, Academic Deans and Enrollment Management, develop and implement a mission, vision and strategic plan for the University’s Regional and Online Campuses that is aligned with the University’s 2020 Vision and supports its educational mission while furthering the entrepreneurial aspects of regional and online programs.
Provide leadership for Regional and Online Campuses, including development and assessment of organizational structure, supervision of staff, revenue and budget projections and management, decisions regarding geographical location of existing and new proposed sites.
Collaborate with the Vice President for Facilities and Technology Services in the development of a comprehensive technology plan that supports teaching, and learning, and space utilization.
Provide leadership for collaborative, strategic planning efforts for the development, continuous improvement and managed growth of all programs offered at regional campuses, online and in extended learning, including Professional Development Courses (PDC).
Oversee the management of regional campus facilities with the assistance of the campus directors. This includes all lease negotiations.
In conjunction with Provost, Academic Deans and Enrollment Management, track market trends to identify opportunities to add new programs and innovative instructional delivery modalities to the existing regional campus and online portfolio of programs.
Direct organizational and operational aspects of the regional campuses and online offices to provide effective support with regard to delivery of quality instruction and related services for students enrolled in adult undergraduate and graduate programs
Provide leadership, support and supervision for regional campus and online department professional and classified staff as well as adjunct faculty. Responsible for the hiring, performance evaluation and management of program staff and instructional staff related to regional campus and online programs.
Provide leadership for all of the University Federal and State compliance issues relating to Regional Campuses and Online Programs.
Assist and facilitate University accreditation efforts, especially relating to WASC, including substantive changes, new location approval and all other processes regarding accreditation.
Manage the process to assign faculty, approved by the respective College dean, to teach La Verne course and evaluate teaching performance, including oversight of the process to collect and collate student evaluations of La Verne faculty.
Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with La Verne’s administration, staff and faculty to ensure full integration of regional campuses and online operations with the University’s culture.
Lead University compliance efforts in online/hybrid programs for accessibility, State authorizations, and other accreditations and policy-based issues related to distance learning.
In collaboration with the Office of Strategic Communications, support the development of marketing, publication and media initiatives to enhance program operations.
Serve as part of the Provost’s leadership team to provide intelligence regarding trends, activities and goals, and to assist the Provost and Vice Provost in meeting the Extended Learning mission.
Develop and implement student services assessment goals for all regional locations and online programs.
Ensure the delivery of enrollment and operational reports related to regional campuses and online enrollment and operations
Represent regional and online campuses on Universitiy committees and task forces.
• Doctorate degree in Education Management Adult Education or other related graduate degree.
• At least 5 years of leadership experience in higher education with management of Regional Campuses, Adult Programs or other non-traditional student programs.
• At least 5 years of increasing responsibility and demonstrated success with budget development and management
• Experience building enrollment, recruitment, and marketing
• Demonstrated skill in team building
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to work collaboratively with faculty, students, staff, other administrators and community and corporate partners
• Demonstrated commitment to diversity and in building a multicultural teaching and learning community
