The University of La Verne has a position available for a Director, Student Recruitment Operations in its Graduate and Adult Recruiting unit. Reporting directly to Vice Provost, the basic function of this position is to supervise and monitor the daily activities of the Graduate and Adult student recruitment unit.

Specific Duties

The duties of the position include: Managing the Student Recruitment Operations supervisor and staff for Adult and Graduate programs; managing, developing and maintaining the data input processes of all prospective student information (hard copy and electronic channels) including communications, applications, credentials, status changes and RFI’s (Request for Information), etc.; evaluating and responding to daily questions regarding the application process; monitoring data integrity of information within admission data systems by creating and generating various reports; assisting in the creation and distribution of communications to prospective students; assisting in the processing of daily electronic data imports and tape loads; serving as liaison with OIT regarding technical issues; managing and supervising student interns; providing technical and functional training to information specialists.

Minimum Qualifications

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Management, Business Administration and MBA is preferable. Experience with Data Systems, or a related discipline with 3-5 years of experience in a higher education work environment, preferably in the area of admissions operations. Additionally, a minimum of one year experience in report writing, preferably MS Access, without direction is required. Experience in using Microsoft’s Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access), enterprise systems and HTML is highly desirable. Employment is contingent upon passing a complete background investigation.
