The Department of Politics & The Van Andel Graduate School of Statesmanship at Hillsdale College invite application for a tenure-track faculty position (rank open), beginning August, 2014. We seek candidates with a strong background in Political Philosophy and American Political Thought (upper division speciality is open). Applicants should be aware that their teaching responsibilities will range from introductory courses for freshmen to gradaute level classes. Since the Department services a graduate program, candidates will also need to have a record of scholarly publication or to demonstrate credibly the potential for scholarly publication, depending upon rank.
