Work directly with members of the College community to develop a College-wide plan for grant and gift requests.
Serves as a liaison between the College and external funding sources.
Takes a leadership role in working with faculty, staff and administrators to identify and secure sources of funding, to develop proposals and project budgets for submission to appropriate funding sources and to assist with managing grants received and monitoring expenditure activities.
Works with project managers to facilitate and ensure compliance on terms and conditions of funding secured through Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C) and the Tri-C Foundation including local, state and federal compliance.
Develops and delivers College-wide programs to educate the College community on funding opportunities and strategies for obtaining grants and gifts.
Works on district-level grant writing initiatives and takes the lead for grant writing teams as well as for writing, editing and compiling the final proposals for such initiatives.
Provides leadership for grant and gift funding including research of external funding opportunities, cultivation, solicitation, proposal development, project monitoring for compliance and reporting; developing communication materials regarding Foundation and College initiatives; providing educational and support sessions to College internal community regarding funding opportunities and guidelines.
Assists with other Resource Development and Tri-C Foundation projects and processing on an as-needed basis.
Minimum of five years of experience in communications, fundraising management or working with external partners.
Extensive experience in creating and monitoring budgets
Excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills that support culture change relative to development responsibilities
Demonstrated commitment to providing customer service
Demonstrated ability to manage relationships, create opportunities and solve problems
Strong technical skills
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite applications
Demonstrated passion for and commitment to the mission of Cuyahoga Community College
Sensitivity to respond appropriately to the needs of a diverse population
Experience in grants and fundraising administration
Experience with Raiser’s Edge and Banner systems
Standard College hours of business 8:30AM – 5PM, Monday through Friday
