The Department of French and Francophone Studies at the College of Wooster is seeking to hire an assistant professor (tenure-track) specializing in the twentieth century.
Candidates should have a primary specialization in French literature and/or film, but should also have a demonstrated ability to teach in other areas. Faculty in the department are expected to teach language courses of all levels. All college faculty supervise undergraduate research projects as part of our nationally recognized Independent Study Program. Faculty also have regular opportunities to teach in interdisciplinary programs and in the First-Year Seminar program.
Ph.D. and near-native fluency in French required. The standard teaching load is 5.5 courses (or the equivalent) per year.
