Job Responsibilities

• Develops and implements a strategic marketing communications program aimed at key audiences and develops an annual marketing communications plan of marketing, including research and evaluation.

• Serves as the key college spokesperson with the news media and has responsibility for the College’s crisis communications plan.

• Uses communication programs such as advertising, media relations, publications and web-based e-marketing to build enrollment in all of the College’s programs and to proactively maintain a positive image in the community.

• Develops an in-house communications agency, serving College departmental needs either through internal or outsourced services.

• Ensures that all College communications are of consistent quality, graphic standards and message and regularly uses research tools to evaluate and report on the image of the College among its key external audiences.

• Meets regularly with key internal customers to ensure a high level of customer service standards are being met and counsels internal customers on how to best integrate and achieve their marketing goals in the most cost-effective and efficient manner consistent with the one college concept.

• Performs other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree

• Demonstrated accomplishments in marketing, communications, public relations, or related field, including an in-depth understanding of an integrated organizational marketing communication function.

• Demonstrated high-quality performance in successfully marketing programs that achieve targeted goals.

• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills (written/verbal communications skills) with emphasis on integrity and discretion.

• Demonstrated expertise in marketing research and analysis;

• Proficient in use of computer word processing, spreadsheet and database applications

• Technology acumen

• Has a sense of urgency when exploring and implementing marketing opportunities.

• Ability to think conceptually, creatively and strategically

• Effective supervisory skills

• Excellent leadership skills, including experience providing strategic marketing and communications counsel to executive leadership.

• Sensitivity to respond appropriately to the needs of a diverse population

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s Degree

• Knowledge of higher education issues

• Availability to travel as needed

• Ability to develop and implement programs which produce desired results

• Familiarity with socially and ethnically diverse community

Work Schedule

Standard College hours of business 8:30AM – 5PM, Monday through Friday.
