Saint Louis University, a Catholic, Jesuit Institution dedicated to student learning, research, health care and service is seeking to expand its expertise in the area of chemical biology by recruiting a medicinal chemist at the level of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor in the Department of Pharmacological and Physiological Science in the School of Medicine, under the direction of the new chairman, Dr. Thomas Burris. We are particularly interested in applicants with medicinal chemistry/drug discovery expertise as well as pharmaceutical/biotech experience. A doctorate in Chemistry with strong research and teaching skills and a publication record commensurate with a Ph.D. program is required. It is expected that the successful candidates will have or develop a strong extramurally funded research program and participate in the teaching of medical and graduate students. The primary faculty appointment for the position will be in the Department of Pharmacological and Physiological Science, situated within the School of Medicine. We offer a supportive, collegial environment and generous startup funds and laboratory space.
