Saint Louis University a Catholic Jesuit Institution dedicated to student learning, research, health care and service is seeking an Assistant Research Professor with significant experience in nuclear receptor pharmacology and molecular biology for the Department of Pharmacological and Physiological Science in the School of Medicine. The position will be in the laboratory of Dr. Thomas P. Burris and requires a Ph.D. or equivalent in a relevant field (Biology, Physiology, Pharmacology, Molecular Biology, etc.) and at least 5 years of postdoctoral experience. Projects include defining the role of various orphan receptors in disease models and the development and characterization of novel nuclear receptor ligands. Experience in one or more of the following areas are required: metabolic diseases, autoimmune diseases, CNS disorders, and oncology. It is expected that the successful candidates will develop an extramurally-funded research program. Salary is dependent on qualifications and experience.
