Saint Louis University, a Catholic, Jesuit institution dedicated to student learning, research, health care, and service is seeking applicants for a post-doctoral fellowship position in the Department of Pharmacological and Physiological Sciences.
This position will be within a lab exploring pathways involved in the development and maintenance of several chronic pain states. Candidates must have or be near completion of a Ph.D. in pharmacology or physiology or related field and have no more than 2 years of post-doctoral training. Prior experience working with animal behavior and models of neuropathic pain is necessary. We are seeking a highly motivated individual who is adept at contributing in a leadership capacity to administration, instruction, and research development within the lab. Postdoctoral experience optional, however the ideal candidate should display: conceptual knowledge of the pain field, ability to efficiently communicate with others and a high degree of organizational and project management skills. Experience and willingness to teach in an academic setting is also desirable. Must display competency in computer programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and GraphPad Prism. Salary is dependent on qualifications and experience.
