Saint Louis University, a Catholic, Jesuit institution dedicated to student learning, research, health care, and service, is seeking applicants for a post-doctoral fellow in the Edward A. Doisy Department of Biochemistry and Molecular, beginning in the winter of 2013. A post-doctoral position is now available in the laboratory of Dr. Alessandro Vindigni. Successful candidates are expected to have a Ph.D. degree in life sciences with a special emphasis on biochemistry and molecular cell biology. The laboratory of Dr. Alessandro Vindigni focuses on understanding the mechanisms of replication stress response and the role of ATP-dependent motor proteins in the maintenance of genome integrity. Projects combine cellular, biochemical and structural approaches. Previous experience in the fields of DNA replication and repair is a plus. Applicants should also be highly self-motivated and have a track record of creativity and productivity. NIH standards will be used in setting the pay scale.
