OFFICIAL TITLE: Associate Director of Admissions
SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Director of Admissions
SUPERVISION EXERCISED: May supervise professional staff and/or part time student personnel assigned to the Admissions area.
1. Assist with the planning and execution of all travel related recruitment events by designing a recruitment strategy aimed at meeting enrollment goals. Process all college fair invitations and registration fee transactions, and organize and maintain a complete list of all recruitment events. Produce an annual travel report including statistical data and narrative on the success of the department’s recruitment strategy 2. Travel on behalf of the University to various off-campus recruitment events for an assigned target recruitment area 3. Develop and maintain close working relationships with key secondary school and community college constituents 4. Provide counsel and service to prospective domestic and international freshmen and transfer students inquiring about admission to the University. 5. Speak publicly to individuals, groups on and off campus 6. Evaluate and execute admission decisions on applicant files for freshmen and transfer files, including completion of credits 7. Work with the Director to report statistical information on entering class and other enrollment statistics 8. Promote and maintain continued cooperation with other administrative offices that are integrated with the admissions process 9. Serve as liaison to the Athletics Department and Disability Services Office 10. Represent the Admissions Office on various university committees 11. Assist with the planning and coordination of staff professional development and office retreats 12. Assist in planning, organizing, and administration of all on campus recruitment events 13. Fulfill other duties as assigned by the Director of Admissions
