The Department of Business Administration and Economics at Worcester State University seeks to fill a one year temporary non-tenure-track position in Economics.
The primary teaching load will include four courses per semester, mostly teaching Introduction to Microeconomics and Introduction to Macroeconomics, but it is desired that the candidate can teach upper division electives intended for Economics majors and minors as well as Business Administration majors. Such electives might include Statistics, Mathematics for Economics, Health Care, Urban Economics, International Trade, Economic Development, or other relevant upper division Economics electives.
The successful candidate should also be able to supervise internships in the major, to advise undergraduate students, and otherwise to contribute to the academic missions of the Department of Business Administration and Economics and Worcester State University.
Ph.D. or other terminal degree in Economics preferred. Advanced stage of a PhD program (ABD) and nearing defense acceptable.
