The Department of Accounting at Quinnipiac University School of Business and Engineering invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position starting in August 2014. Area of specialization and rank are open. Tenure track faculty are expected to excel at teaching, research, and service to students and the university community.
Quinnipiac University is a thriving private, coeducational university with 6,200 undergraduate and 2,300 graduate students. The School of Business is AACSB accredited. Quinnipiac’s three campuses are located in Hamden and North Haven, Connecticut, just north of New Haven, 90 minutes from New York City and two hours from Boston.
Specific job requirements include:
- developing and teaching undergraduate and graduate accounting courses in both on-ground and online formats;
- guiding, advising, and mentoring students;
- maintaining an active research agenda that leads to publications in nationally or internationally recognized quality journals.
Service to the department, school, and university community is also required.
Qualifications and Special Instructions to Applicants
Minimum qualifications for candidates include: a PhD in accounting; evidence of teaching effectiveness; evidence of the ability to publish in accounting journals.
