Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Identify those students who are deficient in academic and clinical skills and provide individual assistance
  • Refer students to other resources when necessary, such as counseling and or tutoring
  • Maintain compliance with all Federal, State and Local laws relative to disability services
  • Proctor exams and finals for students in the learning disability/difference program
  • Provide oversight to the student tutoring program
  • Train new faculty and employees in the Early Alert program
  • Work with Faculty as needed to assure appropriate and effective learning support and resources
  • Provide mentoring and advocacy support to assist participants in overcoming barriers obstacles to persistence and retention
  • Assist with statistical information, data collection and summary reporting
  • Plan and coordinate program events and activities to support student engagement and persistence
  • Plan and execute intervention strategies for students who receive academic alerts in collaboration with academic departments
