Saint Louis University, a Catholic, Jesuit institution dedicated to student learning, research, healthcare and service is seeking applicants for a 12 month faculty appointment at the level of Assistant Professor in the Center for Anatomical Science and Education (CASE) for the 2013-2014 academic year. CASE is recognized as a Center for Teaching Excellence in the School of Medicine. A doctorate in Anatomy, with experience in teaching neuroanatomy is required. The faculty member's primary teaching responsibility will be to participate in team taught clinical neuroscience lecture/laboratory courses offered to graduate students, al-lied health students and to medical students. The faculty member will also be expected to participate in teaching CASE Master's and Doctoral students and serving as a mentor for their thesis and dissertation research projects. Research will be strongly encouraged either in collaboration with other investigators in the School of Medicine, or as a continuation of an ongoing independent research project. Start-up funds for re-search are available. Service on committees in CASE, the School of Medicine and the University will be encouraged for continued professional development and advancement. Salary is dependent on qualifications and experience and is competitive with other Midwestern medical schools.
