Description of Duties:
The Senior Web Specialist, University Advancement plays a critical role in the strategic development, design, implementation and, ultimately, the success of all electronic and web-based communications initiatives within the Division of University Advancement.
Additional Description of Duties: Under the guidance of the Director of Advancement Communications, the Senior Web Specialist is responsible for:
The design, development and distribution of the division's e-communications (e.g., email invitations, email appeals for support, etc.).
The development and maintenance of our online registration forms for keystone alumni and parent events (e.g., Reunion Weekend, Homecoming, Parents and Family Weekend) and various other online forms (e.g., online giving form, etc.). All of these forms are hosted by our client relationship management system (CRM), Harris Connect/iModules.
Working with the university's Web Services team to maintain and update the division's specific web pages on Bentley.edu (e.g., alumni.bentley.edu and pages underneath its umbrella). The university's content management tool is Drupal.
The development and maintenance of a variety of landing pages and microsites with dynamic content (see www.bentley.edu/classgiving for a rough example).
Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college/university in web development, graphic design, computer science or a related field.
Must have at least five years of development and graphic design experience in a professional environment.
Must have at least five years of professional experience and demonstrated successful results working with online media (e.g. content management systems, such as Drupal or Wordpress), client relationship management systems (Harris, SalesForce, IModules) and email management systems (Constant Contact, Harris, MailChimp).
Software Knowledge: Must be proficient with Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Illustrator and InDesign, and MS Office (especially Excel).
Knowledge of PHP, MySql and server administration is a plus.
License(s) Required for the Position: Must hold and maintain a valid, unrestricted United States driver's license, with an insurable driving history as determined by Bentley's insurance carrier.
