FULL-TIME FACULTY POSITION/DEPARTMENT CHAIR OF MEDICAL IMAGING & PROGRAM COORDINATOR: RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGY: (Division of Health Professions) (MCCC/MTA Unit Position) Start Date: September 4, 2013
Teach classroom and laboratory courses in Radiologic Technology; organize, administer, and evaluate comprehensive program effectiveness; conduct on-going program review and assessment; participate in developing and monitoring the program budget. Maintain compliance with programmatic accreditation Standards as promulgated by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT). Actively engage in curriculum development, implementation, assessment and revision using defined program outcomes. Responsible for the operation and management of the Radiologic Technology and Computed Tomography Programs. Maintain office hours and advise students. Participate in college service activities.
Associate degree or equivalent, in radiologic technology required. Master’s degree required to comply with JRCERT accreditation standards. Hold current registration as a Radiologic Technologist in Radiography (R.T. (R)) through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Current Massachusetts licensure as a radiologic technologist in radiography; or is eligible to obtain licensure. At least three years full-time experience as a radiologic technologist, with current competency in clinical practice. Two years of experience as an instructor in a JRCERT accredited Radiologic Technology program. Demonstrates currency in professional discipline through continuing education, professional development, or scholarly activity as evidenced by current ARRT registration in Radiography. Demonstrated the ability to teach within, and contribute positively to, a diverse, multi-ethnic, multi-cultural student population and campus environment. Knowledge of curriculum development, implementation and assessment; including evidence of competence in employing instructional methods and techniques appropriate to different student learning styles. Demonstrated ability to work collegially as a leader and as a team member.
Preferences: Previous teaching experience in a community college setting. Bilingual
(Spanish and English).
Salary: Anticipated starting salary range is $42,921.00 - $65,000.00 per academic year with complete fringe benefit package. Actual salary will be determined in accordance with classification determination of MCCC/MTA salary schedule commensurate with education and experience.
