The Department of Computer Information Systems at Quinnipiac University School of Business and Engineering invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position starting in August 2014. Tenure track faculty are expected to excel at teaching, research, and service to students and the university community.
Quinnipiac University is a thriving private, coeducational university with 6,200 undergraduate and 2,300 graduate students. The School of Business is AACSB accredited, and the program in Computer Information Systems is accredited by the Computing Accreditation Commission of ABET, Inc. Quinnipiac’s three campuses are located in Hamden and North Haven, Connecticut, just north of New Haven, 90 minutes from New York City and two hours from Boston.
Specific job requirements include developing and teaching graduate online Business Analytics courses (primary), graduate online Information Technology courses (secondary), and undergraduate information systems courses (secondary), as well as guiding, advising, and mentoring students.
Tenure track faculty will maintain an active research agenda that will lead to publications in nationally or internationally recognized journals.
A demonstrated ability to publish in the field of Business Analytics is required.
Service to the University community is required.
Qualifications and Special Instructions to Applicants
Minimum qualifications for candidates include: a PhD in information systems, business analytics, applied statistics or related field; evidence of teaching effectiveness; and doctoral coursework or research that is related to the field of Business Analytics. ABDs with teaching experience and a well-developed research agenda may be considered.
