Preference will be given to applicants whose teaching and research interests are focused on race/ethnic relations. Candidates will also be expected to teach in the University curriculum.
The candidate must have a PhD in Sociology by the time of appointment. All candidates must show evidence of dynamic teaching as well as professional and scholarly activity.

The appointee will join a growing department that currently offers undergraduate majors in Sociology, Social Services, Gerontology, and Criminal Justice and a minor in Anthropology.
