Web Developer:
Work with individuals across campus and help them in their web needs in creating and maintaining web pages, sites, graphics, images, and all other content in a content management system (CMS).Work with web pages coded in web languages including XHTML, JavaScript, CSS, DHTML, form scripts, and other web languages working mainly in WSYWIG editors to update web components. Maintain existing web applications using PHP, ColdFusion, ASP.NET, or others. Build training materials; fill a support role in web site creation and maintenance
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of web development (i.e., XHTML), by receiving an in-house certification within 60 days of the hire date for this position
Senior Web Developer:
The Senior Web Developer will: create and maintain web applications including requirements documents and storyboards; integrate scripted applications; create templates and layouts in CMS solutions for seamless user experience; work with individuals across campus and help them in their web needs in creating and maintaining web pages, sites, graphics, images, and all other content in a content management system (CMS); work with web pages coded in web languages working mainly in WSYWIG editors; supervise and coordinate others on web projects; teach sessions whenever needed.
- One of the following in-house certifications or equivalent: XHTML, Web coding standards, web development course final exam, and professional certifications related to web development, web systems, or database systems.
Web Programmer:
Create and maintain new and existing web applications. Work with the project life cycle including requirements documents and storyboards. Work with individuals across campus and help them in their web needs in creating and maintaining web pages, sites, graphics, images, and all other content in a content management system (CMS). Work with web pages coded in web languages including XHTML, JavaScript, CSS, DHTML, form scripts, and other web languages working mainly in WSYWIG editors to update web components. Coordinate others on web projects and fill a support role in web site creation and maintenance.
Senior Web Programmer:
The Senior Web Programmer will work with individuals across campus and help them in their web needs in creating and maintaining web pages, sites, graphics, images, and all other content in a content management system (CMS).  

Minimum Qualifications

This position is a Career Ladder position and will be placed at one of the following levels depending on the incumbent's qualificaitons:
Web Developer:
Graduation from a standard senior high school or the equivalent and one year of any combination of computer related education and/or experience related to summary of duties.
Senior Web Developer:
Graduation from an accredited institution with a associate's degree and; OR any combination of education and experience totaling 2 years. And one of the following in-house certifications or equivalent: XHTML, Web coding standards, web development course final exam, and professional certifications related to web development, web systems, or database systems.
Web Programmer:
Graduation from an accredited institution with an associate degree and one year of experience related to the summary of duties; OR any combination of education and/or experience related to the summary of duties totaling three years.
- One of the following in-house certifications or equivalent: -XHTML, Web coding standards, web development course final exam.
- Two professional certifications related to web development, web systems, or database systems.
Senior Programmer:
Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor's degree in a related field; OR an associates degree and two years of experience related to the summary of duties; OR any combination of education and/or experience related to the summary of duties totaling four years. And one of the following in-house certifications or equivalent: XHTML, Web coding standards, web development course final exam, and three professional certifications related to web development, web systems, or database systems.
- One of the following in-house certifications or equivalent: XHTML, Web coding standards, web development course final exam.
- Three professional certifications related to web development, web systems, or database systems.  

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

- Advanced skills in working a variety of web duties on web sites, pages, and components with XHTML, JavaScript, CSS, DHTML, form scripts, and other web languages.
- Advanced skills in designing and developing applications using scripting languages such as PHP, ColdFusion, ASP.NET, or others.
- Advanced skills in design, development, and ability to follow coding and programming standards for web applications.
- Advanced skills in using web applications such as PhotoShop, Fireworks, Adobe Acrobat, Dreamweaver, Flash, or others.
- Advanced skills in design and implementation of complex database systems including structure, design, SQL query building, and data retrieval.
- Advanced skills in customer and help desk support in technical areas including task management, phone skills, and customer service.
- Ability to create and maintain structures within CMS solutions.
- Ability to organize and lead teams of other technicians and developers with varying skills in web projects.
- Ability to oversee and carry out a web project from creation of requirements to completion.
- Ability to draft requirement documents and storyboards for web projects.
- Ability to learn new software applications quickly and easily with little or no supervision.
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
- Ability to maintain a current knowledge-base in web related technologies, procedures, and techniques.
