Qualifications/Skills/Abilities: *Bachelor’s degree (B.A) required; Master’s degree a plus *Minimum of 3 years of HR recruiting experience *Ability to successfully recruit new employees at all levels within a College setting *Ability to handle a high volume of phone calls and walk-in appointments *Experience with integrated HR/Payroll systems is important; experience with ADP payroll/ADP HRB is preferred. *Ability to provide an exceptionally high level of quality customer service *Effective oral and written communication skills *Ability to work with a diverse group of applicants, various department, faculty, staff, and external constituents. *Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner *Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, and the ability to navigate the internet. *Strong organizational skills and able to manage multiple tasks in a timely manner *Strong attention to details *Ability to work well under pressure, with frequent interruptions, and meet deadlines. *Ability to create and maintain strong working relationships at all levels of the institution *Ability to make oral presentations and represent HR to the campus community.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities *Prepare and place job posting to appropriate internet sources *Schedule and conduct interviews *Process background and reference checks on selected candidates *Initiate verbal and written offer of employment to selected candidates *Determine and implement recruiting best practices, maintain knowledge of current legal requirements and government regulations affecting the recruitment function and ensure college compliance. *Perform new hire orientation ensuring new hire paperwork is complete *Manage the requisition listings and monthly hiring reports *Coordinate temporary hiring labor arrangements, acting as the liaison with agencies *Responsible for generating adjunct faculty contracts *Other duties as assigned
