Work Site: Main Campus
The Reference Librarian reports directly to the Director of Library Services and is responsible for reference service, circulation and administrative support. The successful candidate will demonstrate an enthusiasm for innovation, and provide enthusiastic and creative reference services including instruction and assistance to library users in traditional and digital settings. The librarian contributes to reference service, collection development, and general participation on the reference team. Responsibilities include: to remain informed and current with regard to professional trends in instructional and reference services; provide and promote reference services to the campus community; explore and develop opportunities to integrate/embed library resources and services into campus curriculum; collaborate with librarians and staff to develop instructional materials, orientations, workshops, and classes; assist in developing, teaching, and evaluating information literacy and library instruction sessions and associated services or material. Evening and weekend shifts are required. Related duties as assigned by the Director.
