The University of Alabama seeks an Endowed Research Chair in Human Environmental Sciences. This appointment will be held jointly in the College of Human Environmental Sciences and one of its five departments. The Endowed Research Chair is designed to reinforce the existing research program and facilitate the establishment of a robust nationally recognized multidisciplinary research program. The ideal candidate for this position currently serves at the Associate or Full Professor level and has established a program of scholarly research with a strong external funding base. Evidence of ability to establish and promote the growth of a collegial academic and professional environment for research within the College is considered critical. Candidates should have an earned doctorate in a discipline within Human Environmental Sciences or in a closely related field and hold the rank of Associate or Full Professor or be eligible for appointment as Full Professor with tenure.
