*Graduate degree in occupational therapy *3-5 years of professional and/or research experience in the content area *Prior experience developing or teaching distance courses in higher education
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: *Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to explain content-specific concepts to non-experts. *Knowledge of learning management systems
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: *Organize the online course into modules that include introductions, content, formative activities, and summative assessments. *Write learning objectives that support course and program outcomes and generate rubrics to assess student mastery. *Find and generate high quality content, such as video lectures, presentation files, multimedia, web resources, journal articles, etc. *Craft a student-centered course experience that provides ample opportunity for student-student and student-faculty interactions. *Upload content into the learning management system. *Implement templates and standards as provided by the College. *Conduct a review of the developed course for quality assurance. *Demonstrate ability to collaborate with a team while meeting project deadlines
