The Employee Relations Manager reports directly to the Director of Human Resources and will perform employee relations responsibilities in support of San Juan College policies and procedures as well as applicable state and federal laws. The individual will provide information, advice, and solutions that pertain to building and managing good relationships between supervisors and employees; change management; employee awards and recognition; performance management; maintain consistency with the college objectives and are in full compliance with all state and federal laws and regulations. Responsibilities include managing and implementing a performance management system; providing advice and counsel to supervisors and staff; reviewing and recommending policy; and conducting Exit Interviews. Creating HR training strategies for planning, delivering and evaluating training to support the needs of the institution, and managing required training activities. Other duties include assisting with EEO investigations and unemployment claims under the direction of the Director. In addition, serves as Title IX Coordinator including intake, refer for resolution, initiate and supervise investigations, ensure timelines, prompt notifications and remedies are in compliance, and conduct audit procedures. Will complete special projects for the Director and other duties as assigned.
