Detailed Job Description

This position performs skilled work at the journeyman level in the Masonry trade involving laying brick or blocks in the construction or repair of buildings interior and exteriors, mixing or supervising the mixing of mortar and concrete and pouring and finishing concrete slabs, walks or structures. May train and supervise lower grade personnel. Must drive from site to site.

Required Minimum Qualifications

A high school diploma or GED and (4) four years of paid work experience in this trade. Ability to use job related tools and equipment. Ability to work from specifications, plans and blueprints. Must be able to lift, handle and maneuver the tools, materials and supplies of the job. Must be able to perform those items in the Job Summary and the essential functions. Must have the ability to use job-related tools and equipment and chemical supplies. May be required to submit a medical history statement from personal physician. Must have valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 21 years of age and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report as determined by the insurance carrier. May be required to obtain valid Commercial Driver License.

Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications:

Final candidate must submit to and successfully pass a post offer drug test. Final candidate will be subject to a thorough background investigation prior to employment. $22.82/hr
