A Postdoctoral Fellow in Landscape Ecology is available at Miami University, Oxford, OH.
To conduct research on insect biodiversity, species interactions, and ecosystem services in multiple habitats within agricultural and exurban landscapes in SW Ohio. The position would also involve supervision of students in the field and laboratory, and the analysis of biodiversity and land-use data. The postdoctoral fellow would teach one course in introductory ecology. The position is available for one year beginning August 1, 2016, with the possibility of a one-year extension, depending on performance and funding availability.
PhD in biology, ecology, environmental science, or related area; field research experience with insect biodiversity or community interactions; and experience with statistical analysis using the R programming language.
Additional desired qualifications include experience in statistical analysis using spatial methods, and geographic information systems using ArcGIS.
