Detailed Job Description

The Coordinator of Student Programs is responsible for coordination of programming initiatives for University Programs and the Division of Student Affairs.

Additional Department Summary:

The Coordinator, University Programs will plan, implement, execute, and evaluate events occurring on campus and in the greater community. This position will provide oversight and supervision for campus events, assist in the day to day advisement of a student program board, and include frequent interaction and collaboration with other student groups, campus departments, vendors, and community members.

Required Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and a minimum of two years of relevant work experience, OR a Master's degree. Student or Graduate Assistant, Intern, or student oriented experience will be considered. To be considered student experience, it must be detailed in the employment section on the application

Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and 2 years student experience in event planning, working with or supervising student staff, advising student program boards or organizations, supervision of co-curricular activities, or other closely related experience. Must be able to work early mornings and frequent nights and weekends. Some travel will be required. Valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 21 years of age and have an acceptable motor vehicle report as determined by the insurance carrier.

Skills and Knowledge:

Excellent written and oral communications skills and strong interpersonal skills are necessary. Organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks are essential. The ability to work with a diverse student population is crucial. Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's Degree in Higher Education, Communication, Hospitality Management, or closely related field. Graduate or professional experience in programming, logistics, contract negotiations, advertising, marketing, public relations and graphic design, event promotion and organizational skills, experience with photography and videography or working knowledge of website design. 57 Monthly (exempt): - Minimum - $ 32614.44 Midpoint - $ 47299.20
