Knowledge/Skills/Abilities * Extensive managerial experience in leading, supervising and mentoring the team that creates all communications deliverables in traditional and new media marketing communications. * Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing effective written communication vehicles for diverse stakeholders * Demonstrated command of developing complex short- and long-term communications plans and strategies while possessing an innovative vision for marketing the College based on best practices and creative thinking. * Experience with admissions, enrollment management and institutional lobbying. * Extensive project management experience. * Experience with budget development and management including an ability to understand the importance of return on investment while operating with limited institutional resources. * Be proactive in seeking out and developing collaborative relationships with internal and external constituencies in order to define and accomplish common goals. * A high level of communications-related literacy including broad knowledge and understanding of current and emerging communications technologies and trends. * Demonstrated ability to maintain information in the strictest confidence and dedication to safeguarding information. *Thorough understanding of market segmentation, principles of marketing integrated marketing communications principles and branding.
*Serve as American International College's chief communications officer and brand strategist.
*Responsible for developing and implementing all College core branding and messaging strategies providing a consistent institutional voice and tone. *Lead and initiate ongoing strategies and tactics to strategically elevate the marketing of AIC's reputation for academic excellence and inclusion nationally and internationally. * Develop and proactively update integrated, strategic marketing plans that support the College's overall strategic plan. *Lead and enhance the creative development and placement of advertising within the framework of a multi platform, national media strategy including advertising, branding, marketing, digital marketing, media and public relations, and public affairs for internal and external audiences. * Develop and maintain benchmarks to measure the success of strategic marketing communications * Expand AIC's marketing and advertising footprint with a strong emphasis on diversity
* Serve as the senior advisor to the institution on all maters related to marketing, communications and public relations including serving as, or directing, spokesperson for the College. * Develop integrated marketing and communications plans that advance and highlight the institution's mission and vision statement while supporting and attaining enrollment and retention goals for undergraduate and graduate admissions including all deliverables. * Develop and proactively lead the implementation of the College's Crisis Communications Plan * Oversee the content development, design and production of the College's alumni magazine three times annually. In addition, support Institutional Advancement efforts including capital campaigns, special events and Alumni relations. * Develop and implement marketing campaigns and initiatives as well as deliverables for areas including Academics, Student Services, Athletics and other College divisions and departments * Manage the College's Web presence and digital communications, utilizing current technology and trends to market the College. Advance the College's use of social media and digital marketing incorporating analytic tracking. * Oversee media relations and direct efforts to gain earned media coverage. * Manage internal communications College wide. * Lead a proactive internal campaign to establish best practices for customer service and public relations for the Marketing and Communications department.
